This is a great description of a flashback. Something that hurts you in the present (trigger) reminding you of something that hurt you in the past (dad not paying attention) and causing you to flash back to that experience (feeling like you’re 9 years old) and feel terrible (”worthless”). No, fr, feeling suddenly like you’re much younger is a huge clue that you may be having a flashback.

you do things despite feeling afraid. you get out of bed when your mind aches. you ask for help when you need it and try not to stay inside all day. you try to talk yourself out of bad choices. you search for the good things and beauty that are hard to notice. you tell yourself that things will get better, despite feeling otherwise. you treat yourself gently, even though you’re never far from wanting to return to square one. you try your best despite feeling tired. you’ve come a long way from where you started. you want to heal and you’re getting there. that’s something to be proud of.
it’s okay. it’s okay if you wandered off the path for a while. it’s ok if you haven’t started. you can find your way back. you can still catch up. you can still do amazingly. I believe in you.
Only focus on what feels natural to you, makes you feel carefree, at peace, guided, love and understood.
